How to get here

  • The cable car is located in the very heart of historic Grenoble, on quai Stéphane Jay, on the left bank of the river Isère at the entrance to the Jardin de Ville park.

If you are travelling by car, the nearest car parks are Parking Philippeville and Parking du Musée, both of which charge for their use. At certain times, there is also a free car park at the entrance to the city, Parking de l’esplanade, near the Porte de France.

It is also possible to drive right up to the Bastille without taking the cable car. To do this, head towards the town hall of La Tronche (mairie de la commune de La Tronche). Just beside the town hall, the only access road to the Bastille site is indicated. There is free parking at the top
