What’s happening at the Bastille Fort ? This year, we are honoring our six partners with a series of “View from the top” interviews!

Over the coming months, discover each of them through a one-minute interview.

The videos will be posted on our social media channels. You can also find a summary of these interviews in our press releases, newsletters, and on our website.

Thanks to these videos, you’ll learn all about our partners and hear some interesting anecdotes!

The Tourist Information Office welcomes us for the month of October!

Allison and Lisa have shared with us all the secrets of the Tourist Information Office, a space filled with gourmet souvenirs, local products, and items bearing the image of the Grenoble Cable Car. A shop located on the Bastille Fort that showcases the entire Grenoble Alpes region.

A simple, local, and informative shop.

Do you have any rituals that you never miss?

Introduce yourselves!

Lisa: “My name is Lisa, and I’ve been working at the Grenoble Alpes Tourist Office for two and a half years.”

Allison: “I’m Allison, and I’m the Reception and Quality Manager at the Grenoble Alpes Agency. I was definitely one of the first people to work at the Tourist Information Office.”

Tell us about the BIT!

Allison: “The Bastille Tourist Information Office is an information point where we obviously talk about the Fort, but we’re also there to promote the entire Grenoble Alpes region. And we have a very nice shop too. “

What makes you unique?

Lisa: “Its location. It’s located on the Bastille Fort.”

What can we find in the shop?

Lisa: “Well, in the shop, we have a large selection of souvenirs, including all kinds of typical local food products. But we also have more traditional souvenirs such as postcards, magnets, and souvenir mugs. And there’s also a whole range of products featuring the Grenoble-Bastille cable car.”

The Tourist Information Office in three words?

Allison: “Welcome”.

Lisa: “Advice”.

Allison: “Souvenir”.

Any anecdotes to share with us?

Allison: “We have a little old man who comes to see us every week, usually on Wednesdays. His ritual is to walk up to the Bastille, stop by to buy a few souvenirs here, and then take the cable car back down.”
