At the Centre d’art bastille, Émilie hosts temporary contemporary art exhibitions. Housed in the fort’s former casemates, most of the works are created specifically for the venue and its space. Let yourself be carried away by the talent of artists from the national and international scene.

Émilie: “The CAB is a contemporary artWhat is the Centre d’art bastille?
center that hosts temporary exhibitions.”
What makes you unique?
Émilie: The location! Its unique feature is clearly its location in the former casemates of the Fort. It’s a place where you would never expect to find contemporary art.”
What types of exhibitions and artists can be found at the CAB?
Émilie: “At the CAB, you’ll find contemporary artists, mostly from the emerging scene. Throughout the year, we welcome artists from the national and international scenes.”
Why are your exhibitions so memorable?
Émilie: “Now, for our exhibitions, most of the works are produced especially for the venue.”
How do you get to the CAB?
Émilie: “By cable car! Mainly by cable car, but you can also walk there as part of a hike.”
The CAB in three words?
Émilie: “Unusual, innovative, and also curiosity.”
How do you get your works to the Fort?
Émilie: “One of the slightly funny anecdotes is that we use the cable car to bring up certain parts of our works.”
