An annual program of diverse exhibitions
Each year, the Centre d’art bastille offers a rich program of international exhibitions, ranging from painting and sculpture to photography and video art. These exhibitions aim to immerse visitors in diverse artistic worlds and inspire reflection on contemporary issues.
A unique venue in historic casemates
Housed in former vaulted casemates made of cut stone, the Centre d’art bastille (CAB) transforms a historic military space into a place for engagement and dialogue with contemporary art. This exceptional architecture creates a special atmosphere leading to reflection and discovery.
Personalized support for visitors
The team at the Centre d’art bastille stands out for its availability and dedication. They guide visitors in discovering the artworks by providing insights and perspectives to enrich the artistic experience. CAB emphasizes intermediation, fostering a meaningful connection between the artwork and the audience.
Supporting the emerging art scene
The Centre d’art bastille plays a key role in supporting the emerging art scene by working with both French and international artists. Through a diverse program, CAB enables these artists to gain visibility, to experiment, and share their work with the public.
Unusual Events and Local Partnerships
In collaboration with local associations, the Centre d’art bastille organizes unique events, including concerts, film screenings, and documentaries. These events provide opportunities to blend artistic practices with other cultural forms and foster unique exchanges.
